This Tech Tip will demonstrate all of the program settings needed to work with Intermedia SIP Trunks. This tip applies to the NEC SL2100 Only.

This Tech Tip requires access to the phone system using NEC PCPro Programming Software. To download the latest version of PCPro or for instructions on how to connect your computer to the phone system, please read the following: How to Connect to the NEC SL2100 or SL1100 Phone System for Programming.

Port Forwarding
Please consult with the on-site IT personnel for this portion.
You will now need to forward ports in the clients Router or Firewall to allow the inbound traffic from Intermedia’s Servers.
You will need to forward Port 6060 (UDP) to the phone system’s IP address in 10-12-09. This will be the signaling port.
Next, you will need to forward a range of ports for audio/voice.
Forward RTP/UDP ports 10020-10083 to the IP address in 84-26.
In addition, SIP ALG must be disabled on all involved network components (ISP Modems, Routers, Firewalls, etc.).
Program 10-67: SIP Stack Configuration Setup
Setting No: 01
Trunk Type: SIP
Start Port: This value should be the Port Number of the first available line port AFTER you account for all of your physical CO-Line Ports.
- Example: If your Phone System has (1) CO-Line Card. Then 3 Ports are dedicated to CO Lines, so your value would be “4”
- Example 2: If your Phone System has (2) CO-Line Cards. Then 6 Ports are dedicated to CO Lines, so your value would be “7”, Even if you are using only 4 of the 6 CO Ports, your value would still be “7”
Number of Ports: This value should be the number of SIP Trunks, and should match the number of SIP Trunk Licenses you have installed in the system.
