Algo 8301 – Quick Start Guide

Requirements

- Algo 8301 Paging Adapter connected to your network
- Access to its web interface
- SIP registration credentials
- Amplifier/speakers connected to line-out or relay

Step 1: Access the Web Interface

1. Connect the Algo 8301 to your network.
2. Press the reset button briefly to hear the IP address.
3. Enter the IP address in your web browser.
4. Default login: Username: admin | Password: admin (or check device label).

Step 2: Register SIP Account

1. Navigate to Basic Settings > SIP.
2. Enter SIP extension, authentication ID, and password.
3. Input SIP server domain or IP address.
4. Click Save and reboot the device.

Step 3: Configure Ring Detection

1. Go to Advanced Settings > Call Settings.
2. Enable Ring Detection.
3. Set Ring Detection Mode to Auto or Standard.
4. Set Ringing Timeout (e.g., 60 seconds).

Step 4: Enable Ring Tone on Paging

1. Navigate to Basic Settings > Audio Settings.
2. Set Audio Output Mode to 'Ringing' or 'Ringing + Paging'.
3. Select preferred ring tone.
4. Adjust volume level.

Step 5: Select Output Port

1. Go to Advanced Settings > Audio.
2. Choose output method:
  - Line Out: to amplifier
  - Paging Relay: to trigger external device
3. For multicast, configure multicast IP and port settings as needed.

Step 6: Test the Setup

Call the Algo 8301’s SIP extension to confirm the ring tone plays through the paging system.

Optional: Multicast to Additional Speakers

Configure multicast settings if using Algo 8180/8186 speakers to expand alerting across zones.
