Digital Watchdog Spectrum NVR – Exporting Video Footage
1. Launch the Spectrum Client
• Open the DW Spectrum Client on your computer.
• Log in with your username and password.
2. Locate the Camera and Timeline
• In the Resource Panel, select the camera you want to
export footage from.
• Drag the camera view into the central viewing area.
• Use the timeline bar at the bottom to scroll to the desired time frame.
3. Select the Video Time Range
• Right-click on the timeline and choose “Set Start Time” at
the beginning of the desired clip.
• Scroll to the end of the desired clip, right-click again and choose “Set End
Time.”
You will now see a highlighted region on the timeline showing the selected
video segment.
4. Export the Video
• Right-click anywhere on the selected timeline and choose
“Export Video...”.
• In the Export dialog box:
- Format: Choose .exe (Standalone
Player) or .mp4 depending on your needs.
- Resolution: Choose original or lower
depending on quality preference.
- Include Audio: Check this box if
needed.
- Add watermark or timestamp
(optional).
• Click Browse to choose where to save the file.
5. Complete the Export
• Click Export to begin the process.
• A progress bar will appear showing export status.
• Once complete, navigate to the destination folder to verify the exported
video is present.
6. Play the Video
• If you exported as .exe, double-click to play it in the
built-in player.
• If you exported as .mp4, use your standard media player (e.g., VLC, Windows
Media Player).
