Pre-Merge Requirements

·        All Blackjack NVRs must have:

·        - DW Spectrum installed and running

·        - Same DW Spectrum version

·        - Unique server names

·        - Static IP addresses or DHCP reservations

·        You must have administrator credentials for all NVRs being merged.

·        Confirm that firewall rules allow TCP/UDP traffic on ports 7001 and 7002 between servers.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Log Into the First (Primary) NVR

Open the DW Spectrum Client. Connect to the first NVR (this will become the central system).

Open the Resource Panel

On the left side, click the Resource Tree. Right-click on the Server name and choose System Administration.

Navigate to the 'Servers' Tab

In the System Administration window, select the Servers tab. You will see only the current server listed.

Click 'Merge Systems'

Click the Merge Systems button. A prompt will appear to enter the remote server's IP address, login, and password.

Enter the Details of the Second NVR

Enter the IP address or hostname, admin username, and password of the second NVR you want to merge. Click Connect.

Confirm Merge

A system merge confirmation window will appear. Confirm the merge. DW Spectrum will unify the databases and reboot the secondary server automatically.

Wait for Merge Completion

The system will automatically update and synchronize users, roles, camera configurations, and settings. The second server will now appear in the Server list.

Repeat for Additional NVRs (Optional)

Repeat steps 4–7 for each additional NVR you wish to merge into the system.

Post-Merge Actions (Recommended)

·        Go to System Administration > Users to review user roles and permissions.

·        Organize cameras by grouping by location or building using the layout feature.

·        Confirm all servers are synchronized and online.

·        Backup system configuration settings.

Troubleshooting Tips

Merge button grayed out?

Check if servers are running the same software version.

Can’t connect to second server?

Verify IP, credentials, and firewall rules (TCP/UDP ports 7001, 7002).

Merge fails midway?

Reboot both servers and try again. Ensure network latency is minimal between devices.
